How do I submit my manuscript?
Please submit your article online. An online submission and tracking service via Internet facilitate speedy and cost-effective submission of manuscripts. The full manuscript has to be submitted online via Manuscript Processing System (MPS) at (https://ajnhi.manuscriptpoint.com/). The link “Submit Manuscript Online” leads you directly to the submission system of that specific journal.
What is MPS?
The Manuscript Processing System (MPS) is a web-based manuscript submission and tracking system developed for efficient, fast and cost-effective processing of submitted manuscripts. MPS has been designed with the objective of ensuring step-by-step online processing and tracking of manuscripts for authors, editors and the publisher; from submission to acceptance and final reproduction.
How do I check the status of my submitted article?
Each manuscript submission will be followed by a confirmation email to the corresponding author.
Authors may track all the stages of publication online until their manuscript is finalized and is ready for publication. Log onto MPS and click the article title from the available list of your submitted manuscripts to view the detailed status at every stage of peer-review and editorial decision.
How long will it take to process my submitted manuscript?
Most journals generally convey the editorial decision on the submission within two to three months from the initiation of the peer-review process. Time duration of the peer-review process varies due to factors such as availability and promptness of the reviewers approached to carry out reviewing of the submission. For the duration of the review process, the submission appears in the “In Review” section of the Manuscript Processing System (MPS).
Is the journal open access?
Yes - all research and reviews published in African Journal of Nursing and Health Issues are fully peer-reviewed.
Authors of research articles keep copyright of their work. Articles are licensed under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International Public License (CC-BY 4.0) (https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/legalcode), which permits the unrestricted, non-commercial use, distribution and reproduction in any medium, provided that the work is properly cited.
What does it cost to publish in African Journal of Nursing and Health Issues?
· The publication fee for each published article is US $150.
How do I purchase an issue?
Purchasing an issue
On individual article pages you can purchase online access to the full issue containing that article by clicking the orange 'Get access' button. Then select the 'Issue purchase' option to add it to your cart.
After purchase you will have 30 days to view the issue online and also to download and save PDFs of the content, so that you can continue to read it after the 30-day period has ended.
